Carter Fuller, President of Fuller Rehabilitation Independent Living Aids, was recently named to the Board of Director’s of the American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare). AAHomecare bylaws provide for 18 at-large director seats with three-year, staggered terms. Mr. Fuller was one of 6 new board members elected by AAHomecare members for the 2009-2012 class. A. J. Filippis was also elected to fill the current position of Chairman of the Board.
Fuller Rehabilitation Independent Living Aids, headquartered in Northwest Georgia, is one of the top power mobility providers in the nation, with branch locations in 7 states and more than 200 employees. Fuller Rehabilitation’s goal has been and continues to be, to provide high quality mobility devices for the physically challenged and hope to “live a Fuller life,” as their company motto states. Under Mr. Fuller’s leadership, the company has grown exponentially and he has helped lead a once small home-based business into a viable medical equipment company, successfully poised for the 21st century. He developed a high-end rehabilitation department, focusing on some of the company’s most critical patients with specialized, tailor-fitted mobility and seating needs. Most recently, he spear-headed the effort to create a state-of-the-art Patient Care Center at the company’s corporate office in Ringgold, GA. Mr. Fuller is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he holds a Masters degree in Business. He is married to his wife Tera and has four children, Haley, Jacob, Jordan and Caroline.
